Cofomo is currently looking for a business analyst to achieve a mandate with one of its client in Montreal. The responsibilities are: • Develop and maintain deep understanding of business processes and operations to ensure accuracy of business requirements and alignment of solutions to operations content; • Optimize business processes, analyze data and define requirements for technology solutions; • Take unstructured business problems and produce and present clear, fact-based recommendations to the business partners, and ease their transition towards implementation; • Conduct field interviews and meetings with project sponsor and key stakeholders to clarify business issues and underlying causes; • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize their business requirements; • Responsible for business requirement gathering, elicitation and documentation; • Coordinate and facilitate workshops; • Use business process and data modeling techniques and tools to capture and analyze business requirements and rules and suggest improvements; • Produce and validate procedures; • Responsible for requirements management and communication; • Develop recommendations based on thorough quantitative analysis and best practices; • Apply and ensure compliance with all client’s standards and regulation; • Provide assistance during the execution of the strategies to ensure proper collaboration with interdependent projects, data quality, and efficient transition to operations; • Provide assistance in the execution of the quality management plan; • Execute formal projects and ad-hoc efforts to deliver the information required to guide business decisions; • Communicate relevant progress and achievements to stakeholders on a regular basis to manage expectations; • Implement in an iterative approach; • Ability to travel in Canada and in the United States. The required skills and competencies are: • Bachelor's degree in Business, or Computer Science, or Engineering, or equivalent education and/or experience; • Minimum of five(5) years of experience in business analysis, project delivery, and/or management consulting; • Stakeholder management experience; • Experience developing and implementing business improvement solutions; • Foundational understanding of project management lifecycle, practices and methodologies; • Excellent Microsoft tools knowledge (ex. Excel, SharePoint, Visio, Word); • Strong business acumen and technology savvy; • Strong analytical and problem solving skills; • Demonstrated leadership skills; • Ability to work in a waterfall as well as iterative approach; • Demonstrated flexibility; • Demonstrated ability to inform and influence all levels of management; • Strong facilitation skills; • Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills with high proficiency in English.
